THE BOOK
I undertook the writing of this book, unintentionally. I was an actor and a model, in order to pay for my brother’s funeral expenses; I took on a gig as a go-go boy. I began to journal in between dancing sets in order to deal with the death of my brother. This novel is the end result.

Boots on the Box, Memoir of a Go-Go Boy, Berkley Angel not only gives a glimpse of the gay nightlife and the go-go dancers that were hired to dance at night clubs, parties, or rave dances, but tells the story of a young Bronx Latino and his introduction to the Manhattan gay scene. It also answers the questions that many ask: why would one fall into this type of "career"? What was it like to do this type of work? Above all, the novel shares my personal experiences that lead me here. The truth is humble at its core as it shares the bonds between two brothers, and how one’s death alters the surviving brothers fortitude to ensure a proper funeral and burial.

The book is the first in a series of three novels.
